Let Me Know What You Think…

Alright you guys. I wanted to ask you guys how you felt if I started reviewing makeup products. I was thinking about moving my blog into a more “overall beauty” direction. The only thing is… I’m not sure where to start. Also, by the summer I’m hoping to have a YouTube channel! I’ll definitely be doing nail art tutorials and maybe live swatching! Let me know your opinions!

Gel Polish application and removal.

MYTH Contrary to what people have been saying, gel polish is not harmful for your nails. If application and removal are followed correctly there should be no damage to the nails. This being said, follow these simple steps!

Using the Red Carpet Manicure Pro 45 Starter Kit

APPLICATION:
Step 1: give yourself a manicure, paying special attention to the cuticles. Make sure your nail bed is free of any stubborn cuticle! This is a crucial part of the longevity of your manicure

Step 2: clean your nails with rubbing alcohol to remove oils

Step 3: apply “PREP”

Step 4: apply “STRUCTURE”. After curing in the LED lamp for 30 seconds you will notice a sticky residue. DO NOT wipe this away!

Step 5: apply a thin coat of the color of your choice. Cure this for 45 seconds. Repeat for additional coverage.

Step 6: apply “BRILLIANCE” and cure for 45 seconds using rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad, wipe away the sticky residue and apply “REVITALIZE”.

Now, if you followed those steps correctly your manicure should remain shiny and chip free for up to 2 weeks! When you get tired of this color follow my removal steps CAREFULLY. This is where serious damage can happen!

REMOVAL:
Step 1: lightly file down the surface of the polish to remove any shine.

Step 2: with a cotton pad soaked in acetone, use a piece of tin foil to wrap the acetone and pad onto your nails. Let this soak for 10 minutes.

Step 3: lightly squeezing the foil together twist off the foil and cotton. The polish should slide right off. If some is still stuck to the nail, take an orange wood stick and gently scrape off the remaining products. Do not force it off!

Your nails should be healthy looking ad clean! It is a good idea to give yourself a fresh manicure and push back your cuticles. I like to apply “REVITALIZE” after I remove the polish to add some moisture to my nails!

I really hope this helps!

Red Carpet Manicure Pro 45 Starter Kit

All right everyone, I wanted to show you the gel polish kit that I’ve been using!

This kit may be a little different from kits you have have used or seen. This kit comes with an LED lamp rather than a UV lamp. Also included are the prep, base and top coats, and cuticle oil along with acetone and rubbing alcohol. In all, I really like this kit. I’m used to using gel polish, I use it all the time at work! This kit is perfect for home applications because it is so compact.
